"A Bright Night" Is a Huge Success!
Thanks to the generous supporters of Kids Uganda and the Maranatha Schools, "A Bright Night" was a huge success. The energy and enthusiasm was incredible as over 300 guests attended the event that included an incredibly successful silent and live auction, live music from four incredible bands, fire spinners, and an amazing African-inspired
buffet. In total we were able to raise over $58,000 that will be directly used for assisting the schools
of Maranatha.
The funds from the event will be used to support the children of Maranatha as we continue to build a better future for those less fortunate than us. Thank you again to all who contributed to the event and for making it such A Bright Night!
BOYS' DORM PROJECT
On October 29th the boys vacated their small and congested dorm and moved into their newly constructed dorm. They would like to express their love, joy and appreciation to all of the friends and supporters who helped to make this dream come true.
So eager to have their first night in the new dorm, the boys carried their mattresses and all their belongings.
The joyful journey to the new boys' dorm continued.
Maranatha Mizigo boys finally put on a bigger smile after getting into their new dorm.
Boys dedicated themselves and the new dorm into God's divine protection.

Building a Bridge Between Two Communities
A project between Lake Bluff students and Maranatha students was developed in which children in both communities taught each other about the life in their respective communities through "daily life" videos. Michael and Sara Donhost visited Maranatha to share the Lake Bluff videos and create similar videos with the children there. The Uganda videos were shown in all three Lake Bluff Schools, highlighting the achievement of the schools' fundraising efforts for Maranatha's chicken farm. Click here to view these videos.
